Brian Cody is due to name this Sundays team for the All Ireland Final against Waterford this evening at Nowlan Park after the Senior team train for the last time. Large crowds are expected to attend. This Saturday will see Kilkenny play Galway in the All Ireland Intermediate Camogie semi final replay in McDonagh Park Nenagh, throw in is at 2.30pm.

Officials at Leopardstown will hold a 7am inspection to assess the prospects for their high-profile Saturday meeting. The bumper eight-race card is due to feature two Group One contests in the Tattersalls Millions Champion Stakes but is now in some doubt. The track has been hit by a deluge of rain today and although it has stopped for the moment, more is forecast and general manager Tom Burke is hoping for a largely dry night. Also in racing, This evening's meeting at Kilbeggan has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.
