In GAA action...

The Gala All Ireland Minor Camogie Final saw Kilkenny beat Clare 3-15 to 1-7 in Athy on Sunday. The girls put on a great show for fans who travelled to Kildare for the clash. This follows Kilkenny's All- Ireland Intermediate title win in Thurles, at the weekend beating Limerick 1-16 to 13 points.

Sunday's GAA action in the JJ Kavanagh and sons Junior Hurling League Final Replay saw Dicksboro beat Piltown in Ballyhale in a scoreline of 2-12 to 15 points.

Tonight's GAA action sees many U16 fixtures. In Palmerstown, John Lockes take on O'Loughlin Gaels, while in St Johns Park, Dicksboro meet Thomastown. Both games are at 6.45.

In football news...

Kerry and Tyrone will meet in the All Ireland Senior football final on September 21st in Croke Park. Kerry beat Cork in a nail biting semi final replay to clinch a win of 3- 14 to 2-13. While Tyrone beat Wexford 23 points to 1-14 The Tyrone minors will also join the seniors on All Ireland final day.

In soccer news...

Manchester City have been taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment and are believed to be trying to engineer a shock late transfer to Eastlands of Dimitar Berbatov. It is rumoured that City are attempting to secure Berbatov's services and have lodged a £30 million bid, which is believed to have been accepted. Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is as stunned as everyone else by the news his club have launched an audacious 11th-hour bid to sign Berbatov from Tottenham as the transfer window closes at midnight tonight.
